Zachary T. Hicks, 37, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an accident on Monday, August 8, 2022 at IU Health Arnett Hospital.

He was born October 30, 1984, in Lafayette, to Jacquelyn (Coffman) Hicks of Lafayette and the late Michael J. Hicks.

Zachary graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 2005 and had worked at McDonalds for several years.

He enjoyed fishing, walking, animals and NASCAR.

Surviving with his mother, are three brothers, Michael Anthony Hicks, Jonathan Scott Broady both of Lafayette and Christopher Hicks of Earl Park. Also surviving are 2 good friends, Kylie Fike and Justin Love.

Zachary was preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolynn A. Hicks.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette where he will be buried.

Zach and I use to talk about monster truck races in Indianapolis. He was such a joy to talk to, when he was at Mayflower Mill Elementary. I will always cherish those times with him.

We had good times as cooking out and enjoying the summer season. He was a neighbor and a friend gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace my friend we will meet again.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Zach will miss seeing you at your moms. Remember the venting Session that we had last winter. I will miss you buddy peace
