1964-2024

On July 1st, 2024, we all received the devastating news that our mother had slipped away peacefully and quietly in her sleep.

She was so much more than our mother. She was someone’s daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, grandmother, and friend.

Mom had a plethora of random hobbies and habits. She was a big advocate for the American foundation for suicide prevention. Even as she struggled with her own grief of losing our little brother to suicide, she felt it was her duty to try to help someone else.

She was also a huge animal lover! The amount of all the animals or creatures that she has brought, bought, or adopted over the years is countless. Two particular ones that will always stand out to us are Rebel and Remi. Those two dogs will always be her “ride or die” pets.

She also really loved fishing, drawing, puzzles, reading, dancing, playing pool, darts, Harley’s, friends, and family! She loved everyone she knew to be near and dear to her.

Our mother was a one-of-a-kind woman. She loved to help anyone anywhere she could. For her, it gave her a inclusive sense of purpose. She loved to feel needed. She was such a wild and free spirited individual, but that is what made her who she was.

Now she is at the feet of the Lord. She can rejoice alongside with her son Jarit Smith, both sets of her grandparents, family, and friends whom we have lost over time.  Those remaining to share her life and legacy are not limited to but include Her parents: James and Keltie Knoth. Siblings: Laura (Wayne) Killian, Rj (Kyra) Knoth, Mark (Katie) Knoth, Miki (Terry) Bellah, Matt (Tonya) Knoth, Kyle Knoth, Michea (Melody) Knoth.

Children: Jesse Knoth-Harrington, Jeremiah Smith, son-in-law Lance Harrington.

6 grandchildren by age: Larken Knoth, Cail Dunphy, Jaycie Neidigh, Maverick, Jaxon, and Hudson Harrington. We cannot go without mentioning countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and anyone she called family. We love you to the moon and back.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.  Memorial contributions may be me made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Attn Michael Swyer, 199 Water Street, 11^th Floor, New York, NY 10038 or online at www.afsp.org.
