William H. Morehouse

William H. “Bill” Morehouse, 44, of Lafayette, died at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Clarian Arnett Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 9, 1965, in Lafayette, to David Morehouse of Lafayette and the late Frances Ann Sharp Morehouse. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1984 and attended Oakland City College.
He served in the Marine Corps from June 4, 1984, to April 29, 1988, then served in the Army National Guard in Bosnia.
On March 4, 1995, he married Shari A. Kendall in Lafayette, and she survives.
Mr. Morehouse had worked the past six years at Eli Lilly & Co. as a chemical operator.
He was a member of Church Alive Worship Center and enjoyed hunting, woodworking, golfing and teasing people.
Surviving with his wife and father are three sons Alex Morehouse, Logan Morehouse and Connor Morehouse, all at home; a brother, Scott Morehouse, and a sister, LeAnn Hampton (husband: Darrell), both of Lafayette.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, Pastor Owen Mason officiating. Interment Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette with military graveside rites. Those wishing may contribute to Lafayette Savings Bank, 833 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909, for the benefit of the children of William Morehouse. Take what your father taught you and always live by the values he passed to you in his actions and wisdom. Love your mother and take care of her, it will take all of you to make it through. Always remember we only grow with God when we go through the hard times.

My name is Terri Vose I worked at White County Hosp. in the lab. I remember Bill coming in almost every week to have his blood drawn. What a wonderful man he was. I remember him always having a smile and always having such a wonderful attitude. He was so positive in his thoughts and ways of fighting this horrible disease. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you during this hard time in your life. He was so proud of his boys and his loving wife. God be with you in this time of need. I was very saddened to hear of Bill&s passing. I attended First Assembly with Bill back in the late 80&s early 90&s. He was always such a sweet, kind man.
