Wilbur L. “Max” Maxson, 84, of Lafayette, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at Regency Place.
He was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Monticello, to the late Wilbur and Dorothy Maxson.
He served in the Army during World War II and on Nov. 7, 1947, he married Gertrude Baumgardt in Lafayette. She survives.
Mr. Maxson worked for Cochnower&s and Arab Pest Control, both in Lafayette, before retiring.
He attended St. Paul Community Church and enjoyed woodworking and playing cards.
Surviving along with his wife are his children, Terry W. Maxson of Attica, Linda Massie (husband: Jim) of Lafayette and Mary Ann Martin of Mulberry; and two sisters, one brother and two stepbrothers.
Services are Friday.
