Wendy J. Gavin, 87, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at IU Arnett Hospital.

She was born January 9, 1931, in London, England to the late Stanley and Gladys Morling Brisco.  On October 3, 1953, she married Ernest W. Gavin in Hounslow, England and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1986.  Wendy worked as a Sales Coordinator for Dimension Cable for 17 years and retired in 1989.

She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral and was an Eucharistic Minister for several years.  Wendy was also a member of the  Altar Rosary Society, Blessed Threads, Randolph Home Ec. Club and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and was Regent for 2 years.  Wendy enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and quilting.

Surviving are her children Debra E. (Daniel) Regich of Lafayette, Ernest W. Gavin, Jr. of Cutler, grandchildren Amy (Matt) Chase of West Point, Adam (Rachael) Regich of West Lafayette, great grandchildren Bryce, Blake, Brooke of West Point, Joseph, Peter, Thomas, John and Andrew of West Lafayette.  Also surviving are her siblings Eileen Kittle of Madison, Stanley Brisco, David (Sue) Brisco, Lynne (Michael) Regan and Reggie Brisco all of England.  Wendy was preceded in death by sisters Joyce, Patricia and Vera.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Thursday at St. Mary Cathedral, Father Ted Dudzinski officiating. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.  Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Mary Cathedral in Wendy’s memory.
