Virginia “Ginny” Mull, 89, of Lafayette, while at IU Health Arnett Hospital, left us on February 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was met in heavenly woods by loved ones that went before her, and the love of her life Webb. Together they will both be waiting there to greet all of us when it is our time to join them.
She was born October 6, 1928 in Iowa to the late Ray and Cecilan (Blanchard) Kirts. She married Wilbur Mull on November 30, 1945 in Crawfordsville. Ginny worked at the Clubhouse at Edward Glenn Golf Course and at Clark’s Hill Steakhouse but the job she was most proud of was that of homemaker. Nothing was more important to her than taking care of her family.
She enjoyed going to gambling boats and loved to go bowling, and was a die-hard Purdue fan, especially of Purdue Basketball. She cherished time spent with her family on Minnesota fishing trips and watching Webb and her kids race at the go-cart track. She lived for these times and the times spent with her precious grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Linda) Mull, Roger (Tonya) Mull, and Tarilee (Randy) Terrell, all of Lafayette; 2 sisters, Barbara Burly and Glenna D. Jeffries of Lafayette; 4 brothers, Charles (Carol) Kirts of Lafayette, Dell (Donna) Kirts of Springboro, Robert (Barb) Kirts of Brookston, and Jack (Rosie) Kirts of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Scott (April) Mull, Lisa (Randy) Johnson, Amy (Doug) Wildey, Westley (Korie) Raley, Aaron (LeAnna) Mull; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great grandchild on the way; and other loved one Lydia Mull.
Along with her husband Webb and her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul and William Simms; 2 sisters, Betty Cornell and Christen Barker.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette.
Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Romney.
