Vincent Wilbur Green, 82, of West Lafayette passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Greenwood Healthcare Center.
He was born August 28, 1941, in Gary to the late Claud Vincent and Lillian Lee (Findlay) Green. He was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School in Gary and continued his education at Purdue University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Vincent then attended Kent State University where he graduated with his MBA. On June 19, 1965, he married Marilyn Sue Knarr in Indianapolis, and she survives.
Vincent was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in West Lafayette. He was also a member and past President of WALLA and was a past member of the Tippecanoe County Library board. He also taught classes at San Antonio College and was on the board of Academy of Creative Education in San Antonio.
He enjoyed reading, Purdue sports, good food, bird watching, and going on cruises with Marilyn. Above all, Vincent cherished spending time with his family and enjoying family activities.
Along with his wife, Marilyn, he is survived by 2 children, Christa (Gilbert) Sorola of Lafayette and Nicholas Green (Karen Millerchip) of Houston, TX; and 3 grandchildren, Noelle, Megan, and Timothy Sorola.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Lillian Green; a son, Bradley Green; and a sister, Dolores Hales.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of service at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 4703 N. 50 West, West Lafayette, IN 47906 with Pastor Brian Cook officiating.
Interment will follow at Stilesville Cemetery, Stilesville, IN.
