In Loving Memory of Tyler Guy
September 14, 1994 – October 23, 2026
A life filled with love, laughter, and just the right amount of trouble.
It is with profound sadness and unimaginable heartbreak that we announce the unexpected passing of Tyler Guy, affectionately known as “TT” on Friday, October 23, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Although his time here was far too short, Tyler managed to pack more love, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable shenanigans into his life than most could ever imagine.
To know Tyler was to love him. And if you didn’t love him, he probably would have found a way to make you laugh anyway.
Tyler was truly one of a kind. He was kindhearted, nonjudgmental, quick-witted, endlessly funny, and, by all accounts, a lovable pain in the ass. His sense of humor was unmatched, his sarcasm came naturally, and his ability to make people laugh without even trying was one of his greatest gifts but beneath all the jokes and mischief was an extraordinarily compassionate man with an enormous heart. Tyler accepted people exactly as they were, without judgment or expectation. He never needed to be the center of attention, yet somehow, everything was a little more fun when he was around.
Tyler was a constant presence in the lives of those who loved him. To many, he wasn’t simply a friend; he was a brother, a confidant, and an irreplaceable part of their family. He was also proudly a kid at heart and never lost his playful spirit. Children especially gravitated toward Tyler, and the feeling was mutual. He was the fun uncle, the honorary uncle, the Pokémon expert, the motorcycle enthusiast, and the goofy grown-up who never seemed to forget what it felt like to be a kid. He made children feel important, included, and loved. To some, he wasn’t just Uncle TT; he was their hero, their best friend, and the person they couldn’t wait to see.
Yet, of all the things Tyler loved in life, nothing compared to his girls.
His greatest accomplishment and proudest role were being a father to his beautiful daughter, Rose. Tyler embraced fatherhood with the same love, humor, and enthusiasm that defined everything he did. He was a devoted, hands-on father whose love for his Rose was evident to everyone around him. Watching Tyler become a dad was something his family and friends will forever cherish.
Although Rose’s time with her daddy was heartbreakingly short, she will never have to wonder how much he loved her. She will grow up surrounded by people who will share his stories, his laughter, his adventures, and the countless memories that made him so special. Through her, a beautiful part of Tyler will always remain.
Alongside Rose was the love of Tyler’s life, his fiancée and soulmate, Sam. They were best friends, partners, and the perfect balance of love and chaos. Their personalities complemented one another in a way that simply made sense to everyone who knew them. The love Tyler had for Sam was genuine, and something truly special to witness.
Tyler was also a deeply loved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His family knew him as the mischievous boy who grew into an incredible man, although some might argue he never completely outgrew the mischievous boy part. He had a way of making family gatherings more fun and infinitely more entertaining. His presence was something everyone counted on, and his absence will be felt in moments both big and small.
Tyler leaves behind his beloved daughter, Rose; his fiancée, Sam; his dog, Deimos; his parents, Cindy and Jeff Guy; his siblings Meghan (Clay) Koehler and Mason Guy, his niece and nephews, and cousins, as well as countless friends who loved him beyond measure. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Guy; his aunt, Kenna Duerr; and his dog Jonesy.
The overwhelming outpouring of love following Tyler’s passing is a testament to the extraordinary impact he had on so many lives. While his family finds a measure of comfort knowing he left this world doing something he truly loved, nothing can lessen the heartbreak of losing him so unexpectedly.
The world is undeniably a little less bright without Tyler in it. But his legacy will never be defined by the tragedy of his passing. It will be defined by the incredible way he lived. He reminded us that kindness doesn’t have to be complicated, that family isn’t always defined by blood, that laughter can make even the hardest days a little easier, and that life is meant to be lived with adventure, love, and just enough mischief to keep things interesting.
We promise to keep telling your stories, laughing at your jokes, loving your girls, and making sure Rose always knows what an incredible man her daddy was.
Wherever you are, we hope the roads are endless and the motorcycles are fast.
TT, we will love you forever, and we will miss you for the rest of our lives.
