Tammie Beeker, 49
Tammie Beeker, 49, of Lafayette, died at 8:31 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Central Emergency Room.
She was born May 16, 1963, in Gary, to Tom and Dottie Goulden Lackey.
She was a graduate of Hobart High School?s class of 1981. She graduated in 1985 from Purdue Calumet, Hammond, in Education. On August 17, 1991 she married John Beeker, in Hobart, and he survives. Tammie taught for Tippecanoe School Corporation at Southwestern Middle School. She enjoyed time spent at the Dunes in Michigan City, but mostly she enjoyed the time spent with her husband and children.
Surviving along with her husband, John Beeker, of Lafayette, are her children, Jack, Julia, and Jade, all of Lafayette; her parents, Tom and Dottie Lackey, of Hobart; her father and mother-in-law, Bob and Carol Beeker, of Plymouth; A brother Tom Lackey of Los Angeles, CA , her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Donna Beeker, of Indianapolis; and her grandmother, Cynthia Goulden, of Hudson, Fla.
Tammie was preceded in death by her uncle, Mike Lackey; her grandparents, Eulice and Lorraine Lackey; and her grandfather, Joseph Goulden.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Grace United Methodist Church, 615 N. 22nd St., Lafayette. The Rev. Larry Johnson will be officiating.
