Tami M. Campbell, 58, of Lafayette passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born on September 14, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert Egelhoff and Frances Cowgill.
Tami graduated from Jefferson High School in 1980. In December 1983, she married Randy Carey, they were married 10 years and had 2 daughters, Kayla and Sonya prior to their divorce. In June 1997, she married Mark Funkhouser, they were married 10 years before divorcing. In October 2010, she married Tom Campbell. They also later divorced.
Tami was employed at Landis & Gyr from November 1980 through June 1997. For the next 20 years she worked for TRW. Starting in January 2020 she worked for the Compass Group. She was a very proud grandmother, she loved mushroom hunting, having her toes in the sand, riding on the back of a Harley Davidson, attending NASCAR and Indy Car races, and taking her grandkids to the county fair every summer. She also enjoyed Wednesday night dinner at Hops, watching hummingbirds in the yard at her feeders, and being at the softball field watching her granddaughters play.
One of her greatest memories was taking her family to Walt Disney World in 2018. She worked so hard to make it happen and smiled endlessly the entire trip.
Tami is survived by her 2 daughters, Kayla (Zach) Garrison and Sonya (Nathan) Bonus, both of Lafayette; 3 granddaughters, Leah and Maely Garrison and Willow Bonus; 3 siblings, Frank Egelhoff, Karen (Jerry) Strietelmeier, and Jim (Betty) Egelhoff; 1 niece, Becca (Matthew) Payne; 2 nephews, Robert (Racheal) McDaniel Jr. and Jarrett (Tiffany) McDaniel; and Aunts, Elizabeth “Tootie” Birge and Beverly Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Robert McDaniel Sr.; and several Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2021 with Thom Redmond officiating.
Tami requested to be cremated so she could go out “smokin’ hot!”
