Tamara “Tammy” L. Sloan, 62, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Franciscan Health East.
She was born December 26, 1961, in Lafayette, to Jack Sawyer and DiAnna (DuVall) Sawyer Davis.
Tammy graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1980 and Ivy Tech State College with an associate degree in Surgical Technology in 1981.
She married John F. Sloan on August 8th, 1981 and he survives.
Tammy worked as a surgical technician for various medical facilities.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and cross stitch.
Surviving is her husband, John F. Sloan of Lafayette, two sons, Aaron (wife Carli) Sloan of Covington and Matthew (wife Jalynn) Sloan of Monticello, her father Jack (Judy) Sawyer of Kokomo, two sisters, Christy Sawyer of Florida and Kim Christianson of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kaleb McClannen, Tristan Orchard, Brodie Sloan, Rowen Sloan, Lucas Sloan and Addison Sloan.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, DiAnna Davis, a son, Travis John Sloan, a sister, Cindy Feeney, a brother, Timothy Sawyer and twin infant brothers.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tammy’s name to either the American Heart Association or Franciscan Health Cancer Center, 1701 Creasy Lane, Lafayette, IN 47905.
