Susan Lee Hall was born on May 12, 1952 in Muncie, Indiana to Clay Ellison Moody and Nancy Lou Moody (nee Williams). She graduated from Marion High School and attended Ball State University. She married Larry Warren Hall on June 4, 1977 at Gethsemane Episcopal Church, in Marion, Indiana. The couple made their home in Lafayette, Indiana during their early years and then in the surrounding area until her husband's death in May 2017.   Susan worked for the State of Indiana at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette for over 11 years before joining her husband's business, Electro-Mechanical Technology. For the last fourteen years, Susan provided loving care and assistance for her parents and mother-in-law. Beloved by her family and friends, Susan was a generous and good-hearted soul who enjoyed helping others and often extended her kindnesses with her famous jellies and pies. Susan and Larry were devoted to their golden retrievers Goldie, Brandy, Charlie, Sam, Rufus and Sandy. Susan is survived by her mother, her sister Mary Lou (Joe) Poole, and her brothers David (Mary Catherwood) Moody, Douglas (Kate) Moody and Joseph (Paulette) Moody, and many nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm on September 1 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Reverend Dr. Bradley Pace and Chaplain Dawn Bodi officiating. A private interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lafayette, IN. Donations and gifts may be given to GRRACE- Golden Retriever Rescue & Community Education or the Westminster Village/Chaplaincy Ministry, West Lafayette, IN.
