Susan M. Guess, 52, of Lafayette, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1958, in Cherry Point, N.C., the daughter of Edward James Dawson Jr. and Frances Ann Gast both of Logansport.
On Jan. 3, 1989, she married Alan Guess in Valparaiso, and he survives.
Mrs. Guess had worked as a military wife in the USO and in Army Airforce Exchange as a clerk.
She was a member of the USO and Family Support Group for the military, and enjoyed art work, crafts and playing video games with her son.
Surviving with her spouse and parents are a son, Lonnie A. Guess, and a daughter, Kari Morris, both of Lafayette; and two brothers, James Dawson (wife: Sabrina) and Edward Rusty Dawson, both of of Logansport.
Also surviving is a granddaughter, Kelsey Rolls. She was preceded in death by a brother Michael Dawson.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service Monday Nov. 22, 2010, at Wea Ridge Baptist Church, 1051 E. 430 South, Lafayette, IN 47909, the Rev. David Guess officiating.
