Shirley K. Robson, 73, of Lafayette died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born January 30, 1941, in Lafayette to the late Harold and Georgia Branigan Coopman. Shirley married Lavern Robson on November 8, 1959 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1982. Mrs. Robson worked as a Dispatcher at Mullen Towing and in the Purdue University Union Building and is retired. She was an avid Purdue sports and Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving are her children Jodra E. Perkins, Jerrold E. Robson, Jeffrey L. Robson all of Lafayette, Jill L. Wesner (James) of Dayton, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. Also surviving are her siblings Beverly Brown of Darlington, Harold Coopman (Barbara), Ralph Coopman (Virginia) all of Lafayette and Martha Platt (Glen) of Frankfort. Shirley was preceded in death by a step daughter Glenna E. Hicks. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to an 11:00 AM service on Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Internment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
