Sharon K. Harvey, 80, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at her home.  She was born January 15, 1945, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Jess and Armetha (Sanders) Phillips.  Sharon graduated from Southwestern High School in 1963 and from Purdue University.  Sharon was the Director for Lafayette Head Start for 30 years and retired in 1997.  She enjoyed bingo, crafting, spending time with her grandchildren and the family dog Cooper.

Surviving are her children James A. (Susie) Harvey, Jr. of Lafayette, IN, Stacy L. (Rex) Hefner of Holly Hills, SC, Shannon D. (Tim) Nagel of Green Coast Springs, FL, step children Debbie (Eddit) Lorenz of Loudon, TN, Becky Hubbard of Loudon, TN, Freda Schelton of Caryville, TN, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 nieces and  7 nephews.  Also surviving are her siblings Judith Allhands of AZ and John Phillips of Henderson, NV.  Sharon was preceded in death by her son Travis E. Harvey, grandson Richrd S. Bellah II, Dustin James Harvey, brothers Fred and Charlie Phillips.

A celebration of life will be from 5:00 pm to 10:00pm on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in the Boat House at Columbian Park in Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House in Sharon’s memory.

A Celebration of Life will be heldon Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, at Columbia Park Boathouse, 1915 Scott Street, Lafayette, IN 47904.
