My good memories of sweet Sharon:
I came to Crestview about six years ago. I would quilt with the ladies while Sharon was cleaning the church. She was always joyful. She would bring her little massage thingy and make our backs feel better. She was always joyful.
After she became sick and was at St. Mary&s, I volunteered to visit her. Two months ago, Mother&s Day weekend, I was very busy but had said &yes& to visit Sharon that Friday afternoon. Because I loved Sharon and I was obedient to our Lord, my visit that day was indeed blessed.
I had never been to an Alzheimer&s unit. Not a fun visit. But, I believe, Sharon - in her spirit remembered me. She was so joyful. As we paced up and down the hallways, she was her giggly self, stopping to poke the workers and giggle. The workers looked up in amazement.
As I was ready to leave, one of the coworkers said to me, ""You know - we have never seen her like this."" (I later learned that usually she was sad and crying.) I knew that that visit with Sharon included God intervening in my life and Sharon&s that day.
Of all my many activities that weekend, THIS visit with Sharon, was my most blessed of all activities. And, it wasn&t about me. It was God with us.
AND, now it is a very blessed memory of my time with sweet Sharon.
