Scott S. Stockton, 86, of Michigan City, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Franciscan Health, Michigan City.
He was born April 29, 1940, in Lafayette to the late Jesse and Doris (McMillen) Stockton.
Scott graduated from Southwestern High School and worked in the maintenance department for Days Inn for many years.
Scott enjoyed hiking, junking, and walking the dogs.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Stockton of Lafayette. As well as a longtime friend, Judith Gorman.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Suellen (Laxton) Stockton; and 3 siblings, Ronald Stockton, Jesse Calvin Stockton, and Julie Coffey.
A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Harvest Chapel, 2028 S. 22nd St., Lafayette, IN 47905.
