Samuel D. Patterson

Samuel D. Patterson, 73, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He was born May 23, 1949, in Lafayette to the late Floyd and Cassie (Bratton) Patterson. Sam was a retiree of GTE/Verizon. He was an avid Purdue fan and member of the John Purdue Club. Sam enjoyed bicycle riding, fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are his children Samuel D. (Yuki) Patterson, II, Adam W. (Dana) Patterson all of Davidson, NC, Jessica L. Patterson of Lafayette, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sisters Donna Patterson and Ann (Richard) Morehouse and his longtime companion Dianna Buntin. Sam was preceded in death by brothers Freddie and Jeff Patterson. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

So sorry for your loss! Sam was a very sweet person! Always would wave and say hello as he rode his bike through our neighborhood! He will be missed!

Sam was my cousin and I loved him, he was such a unique individual. He will be missed.

The Three Amigos have reunited: Van Shrives, my dad Steve (Stoney) Foster, & now Sam. Fond memories of you guys sitting around the fire drinking beer, telling stories and jokes. Those were the good 'ol days. I sure miss you guys & those days. Rest in peace Sam. Deanie, Adam & Jessica, my heartfelt condolences to y'all and your families. Him & Jan will certainly be watching over all of you. I pray the good memories will bring some comfort during this sad time. Sorry for your loss.
