I’m so sorry for your loss, my friend. It’s hard to find the right words during a time like this. We may not see each other as often as we did when we were younger, but the memories and friendship will always mean something. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ryan and I lost touch over the years but I know if I would have seen him randomly it would have been like we never lost touch. I remember him as kind, competitive, very fun to be around. He will be missed. I deepest condolences to Cassie and the Waldridge family.

Aw, man, Waldo. We only knew each other for a few years, but in that time, we shared some incredible memories and some of the most unforgettable laughs. The kind of laughs that make your belly hurt and leave you smiling long after the moment has passed. You were a great friend with an amazing heart, and your energy was always at a ten. You were always ready to go somewhere, do something, or turn an ordinary day into a good time. That’s just who you were. You brought a certain kind of life and light with you wherever you went. You were also one of the most thoughtful people I’ve known. I remember mentioning that I wanted a spider plant, and you took it upon yourself to find one. You’d get off work and FaceTime me from every lawn and garden section you could find, searching for what you called the spider-monkey plant. And you didn’t give up until you found it. I still have that plant today. I still have the pink gardening gloves you bought me, too, simply because you’d see me out in the dirt with my bare hands. That might seem like such a little thing to some people, but to me, it says so much about the person you were. You paid attention. You listened. You remembered the little things. And you showed people you cared in your own way. You’d bring my kids poppers and fireworks, and we’d sit around shooting pennies with your slingshot. It was always something with you, and there was always a good time to be had. You had a way of making the simplest moments into memories worth holding on to. Looking back, I realize how much those little moments mean now. The laughter, the random adventures, the thoughtful gestures, and all those ordinary days that didn’t feel like anything special at the time. Those are the things I’ll remember most! I wish you had taken better care of yourself. I wish you’d understood just how much more life there was to live and how many more memories there were left to make. But you had a way of living carefree, keeping things light, and not letting too much weigh you down. And maybe that’s part of what made you so easy to enjoy and so easy to remember. It’s hard to believe that someone who brought so much energy, laughter, and life into a room can be gone from it. The world feels a little quieter knowing you’re no longer around. Waldo, I’m grateful our paths crossed. I’m grateful for the friendship we shared, for the laughter that still brings a smile to my face, and for the little pieces of you that I get to keep. I’ll water that spider plant and think of you. I’ll remember those pink gardening gloves, the slingshot, the fireworks, and all those belly-busting laughs. We may have only had a few years of friendship, but the memories we made will last a lifetime. Rest easy, Waldo. Thank you for the laughs, the friendship, and the memories. You left more behind than you probably ever realized, and you won’t be forgotten. I’ll miss you, my friend.
