Ruth E. Bush (Shuster) 94 of Lafayette, In., went home to Heaven on Thursday,     April 13, 2023.

Ruth was born on August 8, 1928, to Luther & Clara Shuster in Veedersburg, IN. Ruth graduated from Round Grove High School in 1946. On September 28, 1947, in Lafayette, she married John G Bush. Ruth and her beloved husband John (Jack) Bush were married 64 years, he proceeded her in death, along with her parents, Luther and Clara Shuster, son Ronald L Bush, and 2 sisters, Mildred Mallory & Helen Boze.

Ruth worked in the Telecommunications field for 36 years, with Bell Telephone, General Telephone and AT&T

Ruth was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Ruth enjoyed sewing, canning, bingo, fishing, baking, and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her 4 children, Donald L (Mary) of Lafayette, John J Bush (Sheryl) of Ft. Pierce, FL. Julia Bush (wife of Ronald L Bush-deceased) of Manchester TN.  Bonnie Dick (Dennis-deceased) of McCordsville, IN., and Sharon Powell of Lafayette. Ruth was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 612 Wabash Ave., Lafayette, IN on Friday, April 21st.  Interment will follow @ St. Boniface Cemetery, 2581 Schuyler Ave., Lafayette, IN 47905.

Memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be given to Matthew 25 Share and Care Soup Kitchen, 612 Wabash Ave., Lafayette, IN. 47905

The Bush family thanks the wonderful staff at Rose Walk Nursing Home-Memory Care unit for the love and comfort they showed her while she was in their care.

Such a beautiful sole!! This beautiful woman has meant so much to me!!
