Ruth Ann Cadle

Ruth Ann Cadle, 75, of Lafayette, died at 5:01 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at St. Elizabeth East hospital.
She was born Aug. 23, 1935, in Shadeland, to the late Iley Peyton and Stella Peyton Anglin. She graduated from Shadeland High School in 1953 and from Indiana University Dental Hygenist School in 1959.
On Feb. 14, 1959, she married James C. Cadle in Lafayette. He preceded her in death Feb. 5, 2010.
Mrs. Cadle was a dental hygenist for several dentists in Lafayette before her retirement.
She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Surviving are her son, Jay Cadle (wife: Karen) of West Lafayette; a sister, Mary Peyton of Clearwater, Fla.; and her companion, Pete Dykhuizen.
Also survivng are a granddaughter, Marina Cadle, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Stanwyck.
Ruth enjoyed walks on the beach with her companion, Pete, and watching the sunset with sister, Mary; church suppers on Wednesday nights with lots of laughter among friends. Ruth was very proud of her granddaughter, Marina, and loved watching her compete in 4-H. They made great shopping buddies and enjoyed working on crafts together. Ruth was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be missed greatly.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Kevin Bowers officiating. Those wishing may contribute to the Bethany Presbyterian Church.

To the Family of Ruth Ann (Payton) Cadle. I was saddened to hear of Ruth Ann&s passing. Ruth Ann and I attended our First Grade of school together at West Point due to Shadland school&s loss in a fire. We, the Albert Post family, lived at the Payton
home place near what is now or was Eli Lilly for 3 or 4 years. I believe I was 5 or 6
when we moved from there. The last time I saw Ruth Ann was in 1993 at my Mother&s 90th Birthday gathering in Lafayette. We are so glad we got to see Ruth & Mary Agnes at the Tippecanoe Fair on Tuesday night and shared hugs of greeting. We never know when it will be our last time together. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of both your parents. If I remember right you were very close to your parents and greatly enjoyed them. You and your parents were always fun to be around and there was always a lot of laughter.

I know your will greatly miss your sister. I still remember Inches Away and how I enjoyed seeing your and Ruth.

Sorry I was unaware of your Jim&s passing until now. Unfortunately my mom passed away unexpectedly last Labor Day the sorrow and hurt is still there but gets a little more understandable with each day.
