Russell R. Thomas, 52, of Lafayette died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his home. He was born June 4, 1962, in Mt. Carmel, IL, to John Thomas wife Judy of Lafayette and Betty Thomas of Palm Desert, CA. Russell graduated from ITT Tech and married Kimberly Driskill in Evansville on October 11, 1991 and she survives. Russ, Kim and Ian moved from Evansville to Lafayette in 1995. Russell worked as a Medical Equipment Technician for Radiation Services Imagery. He enjoyed golf, fishing, music and Colt's Football. Surviving along with his wife are his sons Ian Thomas of Lafayette, Andrew Thomas of Evansville, a brother Keith Thomas (Penny) of Beaumont, TX and a sister Toni Hyams (David) of Palm Springs, CA. Also surviving are his stepbrothers Mark Goodson (Anita) of Beaumont, TX, Michael Thomas (Susie) of Cypress, TX and a step sister Kathy Patillo (Mike) of Corpus Christi, TX. Russell was preceded by an infant son Evan in 1991 and a brother Jerry Thomas in 1994. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Ed Morrow officiating. Burial will be at Meadow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Russell's memory.
