? Robert C. Hoppe, 62, of Dayton, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Richard A. Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Jan. 30, 1949, in Huntington Park, Calif., and was the son of the late Robert and Ruth Ferguson Hoppe.
He graduated from Magnolia High School in Anaheim, Calif., and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
On Aug. 17, 1981, he married Sue Teague in Las Vegas, and she survives.
Mr. Hoppe was a warehouseman for 18 years with AT&T and retired in 1986.
He was a member of Faith Church and enjoyed camping, hiking, photography, animals and watching movies. He was past president of the Volkswagen Club in California.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Katie Anderson (husband: Robert) of Lafayette; and a brother, Fred Hoppe (wife: Paula) of Mira Loma, Calif.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel and Benjamin Anderson and nieces, Sarah Hualde and Jessie Daniel.
Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Church, Rev. Dr. Mark Dutton officiating. Those wishing may contribute to Vision of Hope.
