Dear Mr. Mahrling a.k.a. The Candy Man, you brought so much happiness each time we got to see you!! Even though we got excited to see what treats you brought us… just being able to share a moment with you was the real treat! For me personally, having conversations with you made my day! I loved hearing stories about your beautiful soulmate, Dixie! I know how much you have missed her… I hope you tell her stories about us! I am going to miss walking you to your room and you asking me, “Girl, how have you been?” Mr. Mahrling, you will be deeply missed in the OPC!!! Thank you for letting us get you 4 juices!! ;0)

I spent a lot of time in the Mahrling household growing up. Bob and Dixie were like family to me. Bob was a “ man’s man” with a heart of gold. He gave us work to do and paid us. Yes we helped him, but it also taught us the value of work. I was blessed to know him. You will be missed.
