Rikki Elizabeth Scripter, 39, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 12, 2023 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born June 18, 1984, in Lafayette, to Richard R. Scripter and Teresa E. (Duncan) Scripter.

Rikki graduated from Harrison High School and Ivy Tech State College.

Rikki worked as a medical assistant for IU Health in the Gastroenterology Department for several years.

She had an infectious smile and was the life of the party, even though she was never on time. She wholeheartedly loved her family and friends. She was always a quick-witted person who would laugh at her own jokes, even if she was the punch line. She enjoyed crafts, taking selfies, fishing, cooking, kayaking, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Rikki loved children. She would often be seen with her boys and anyone’s child(ren) she could pick up for the day, this brought her so much joy.

Surviving are two sons, Brennen and Blake Scripter both of West Lafayette, her mother, Teresa E. Scripter of Logansport, her father, Richard R. (wife Sheila) Scripter of Frankfort, two sisters, Misty (husband Clay) Bays of Logansport and Tiffany (husband Joe) Minor of West Lafayette, a stepsister, Tabetha Haley of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are nephew, Ezekiel Ryan, niece, Ryleigh (husband Elijah) Ennis, nephew, Caden Minor, great nephew, Emerson Ennis and great niece, Everleigh Ennis. Companion, Rodney Clements of Brookston.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909

Memorial contributions may be made to Brennen and/or Blake Scripter at Purdue Employee Federal Credit Union to help with any future life expenses.

So so sorry for your loss. Rikki was always smart, outspoken, and would tell it like it is. She had a big heart. She will rest easy knowing her boys will be well taken care of and loved. God Bless your family.

She was such a sweet soul I remember her from highschool this is Soo sad. This is now two ppl in two months I have lost to car accidents ?? my prayers and condolences go out to her family.
