Richard Edward Bolin, 58, of Lafayette, passed away at 12:12 am Monday, April 27, 2015 at IU Arnett Hospital. Richard Edward Bolin, 58, of Lafayette, passed away at 12:12 am Monday, April 27, 2015 at IU Arnett Hospital. He was born December 31, 1956, in Lafayette, to the late Robert Ralph and Josephine Agatha Cross Bolin. Richard graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. On April 13, 2002 he married Theresa Lynn “Terrie” York Long and she survives. Rick previously worked at Essex Wire, Steele Joist, Norandex, Rose & Walker, and Family Farm & Home. He enjoyed fishing, playing Euchre, Poker, playing with and walking with his dogs, was an avid Colts, Purdue and Cubs Fan, and spending time with his family and friends. Rick was a member of Kossuth Street Baptist Church, where he was very active in the church and also played several years for the church softball league. Surviving along with his wife, are his step children, David Joseph Long (fiance' Cassandra Lynn Dickerson) of Valrico, FL, and Eliabeth Marie Henady (Sean) of Lafayette, two brothers, Robert Joseph Bolin (Gale) of Denver, CO and Jerry Allan Bolin (Ollie Mae) of Terre Haute, two sisters, Nancy Carol Newton (Ray Michael) and Linda Diane Bush (Steve) both of Bloomington. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Christina Marie Reece Devine (Brandon), Tyler Joseph Long, Joshua Michael Henady, Savannah Lynn Long, Sarah Elizabeth Henady, Logan Allen Dickerson, and Makenna Reese Dickerson. Rick was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Leroy and Stephen Keith Bolin. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Kossuth Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Kossuth Street Baptist Church with Pastors Don Whipple, Drew Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Family requests memorial contributions be given to Kossuth Street Baptist Church.
