Richard D. “Rick” Mullen, 58, of Lafayette, died at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 13, 1952, in Lafayette, to the late Robert and Evelyn Robson Mullen.
He graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1970.
On Sept. 20,1986, he married Teresa King in West Lafayette. She survives.
Rick was a co-owner of Mullen Towing.
He was a member of Indiana Towing and Wrecker Association, National Towing Museum and enjoyed NASCAR, NFL, RC hobbies, spending time with his family and his dog.
Surviving are three daughters Jeni Niemantsverdriet (husband: Scott), Amber Wooten both of Lafayette and Stephanie Lucier (husband: Jason) of Bonney Lake, Wash.; two sons
Eric Bailey (wife: Tanya) and Shawn Louks both of Lafayette; a sister Linda Erwin of West Lafayette and two brothers Michael Mullen (wife: Jennifer) of Lafayette and John Mullen (wife: Holly) of West Lafayette.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be 3-7p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, with funeral service at 7p.m. at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN. 47909 with the Rev. Dan Fisher officiating.Those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
