Randy “Banjo” Smith, 60, of Clarks Hill, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home. He was born October 29, 1957, in Lafayette to James and Shirley Gano Smith of Clarks Hill.
Banjo graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1976. He had worked at Tate and Lyle South Plant and farmed in the Clarks Hill area for many years. Banjo loved the out doors and raising cattle with his family. Spring calving was his favorite time of the year. He enjoyed giving everyone he met a nickname.
Surviving along with his parents are his siblings Mike A. (Kathy Wortley) Smith of Clarks Hill, Neal (Sandi) Smith of Carmel, Denise Stall of Clarks Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19th at Clarks Hill Christian Church, Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating.
