R. Karen “Grumpy Granny” Keller

September 23, 1939 - April 6, 2026

Karen Keller, 86, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at her home. She was born September 23, 1939, in Monticello, IN, to the late Maurice and Ellen (Giles) Hague.  Karen graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1957.  She worked at K-Mart and Wabash National, retiring in 2004.  Karen enjoyed gardening, bird watching, pies, ice cream, her dog Lilly and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children Donna M. (Thomas) Sosbe of Lafayette, Beth A. (Jeffrey) Lightle of Waynetown, Randy R. (Stephanie) Keller of Clarks Hill, grandchildren Tricia, Jason, Zach, Brittany, Morgan, Shelby, Madison, Amanda, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  Also surviving is her sister Lana (Sid) Ely of San Diego, CA.  Karen was preceded in death by her sisters Clara B. McCloud, Betty Howard, Marda Peacock, and Maureen Thompson.

Private service will be held.  Inurnment will be at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette.
