Patricia Marie Elsner (Parr), 36, passed away on May 30, 2013, at IU Arnett Hospital. She died from complications due to blood clots. She was born January 31, 1977 to Maurice (Moe) and Judy Parr and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1995 and Purdue University in 2001 where she obtained a Doctorate of Pharmacy. She met the love of her life, Mark James Elsner, at Central Catholic and they shared their years in high school and college together. They were married at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on May 5, 2001. They have two wonderful boys, Andrew James and Ryan Joseph. Being a mother was the ultimate in life for Patty. She served her community as a pharmacist with CVS, Walgreen's, and most recently joined the staff of Purdue University, serving as the director of Purdue's On-Campus Pharmacy. Patty had a huge impact on a very diverse group of people's lives. She was active in many organizations that allowed her to touch so many with her magnificent, beautiful spirit. She is survived by her loving husband Mark; her boys AJ and Ryan; her mother Judy (Werthmann) Parr; her father and stepmother, Maurice “Moe” and Patricia Parr; two brothers, James (Kathleen) Parr, and Brian Parr; five sisters, Mary Jo (Mitch) Hamman, Lucy (Ken) Jones, Beth (Scott) Chandler, Angie (Chad) Houston, Gretchen (Vinnie) Shissler; in-laws, James and Debbie Elsner; fifteen nieces and nephews, a grandniece and grandnephew. All those who knew and loved her are encouraged to join the family for visitation on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, as we celebrate her life at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She will be buried at St. Boniface Cemetery.
