Patricia Louise (Marsh) Rogers, 76, of Lafayette, passed away June 7, 2023, at her home with her husband by her side.

She was born February 19, 1947, in Lebanon, IN to the late Earl L. and Melva (Wilson Orr) Marsh. She was a 1965 graduate of Zionsville High School. She continued her education at Indiana State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education as well as her Master’s Degree in Education. On December 20, 1969, she married her best friend and love of her life, Fred Rogers.

Patricia taught Kindergarten for almost 40 years at Klondike Elementary, St. Mary’s and St. Lawrence (28 years). She also taught in Dependent School, in Asmara, Ethiopia when Fred was stationed there in the U.S. Army Security Agency. She loved her career and helping others.

She enjoyed horses, traveling, and sitting outside.  However, spending time with her family and grandchildren is what she cherished most. She was a member and an officer of the “Lady Bugs” Purdue Extension Home Econ Group and also served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Boniface for many years.

Along with her husband, Fred, Patricia is survived by her 4 children, Kelley Dawn Albrecht, Kassandra Liane (Heather) Aughe, Scott Jason(Emily) Rogers , Traci Kristine (Donald) Puetz; 7 grandchildren, Justin Rogers, Paiton Rogers, Ryann Rogers, Gavin Puetz, Connor Puetz, Madelyn Puetz, and Zane Albrecht

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Melva; as well as her brother, Richard Orr, DDS.

Memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be given to the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, 201 S University St, West Lafayette, IN 47906.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at The Stables Event Center, 7071 S 100 E, Lafayette, IN 47909.
