Patricia L. Barker, 62, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at her home. She was born February 14, 1961, in Lafayette, to the late Gerald Thomas and Mary (Schrader) Kaniewski.

Patti graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1980. On June 6, 1987, she married Timothy Barker in Fountain Hills, AZ and he survives. Patti worked at WWL in Lafayette for 25 years. She was a member of the Lafayette Eagles Aux. and enjoyed camping.

Surviving along with her husband are her sons Joseph R. (Tiffany) Minor of West Lafayette, Zachary R. (Brittney) Barker, Vincent T. (Ashley) Barker all of Lafayette, grandchildren Caden Minor, Gage Barker, Declan Barker and Zoey Barker. Also surviving are her brothers Rick (Muriel) Thomas and Henry (Erika) Kaniewski, Jr. all of Lafayette.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Interment will be at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.

To Tim and the family I worked at WWL for 4.5 years. Patti was an amazing person. She was funny, a good listener and she also didn't take no bull off people either. I had gotten married to a co-worker at the time and she picked on me saying you just had to go and do it on my anniversary. Then she turned around and laughed with a smile. She then invited us out to your camp sight. What a great time. Patti, you will forever be missed. My condolences and prayers to you Tim and your family

Patty was a force to be reckoned w. She was a wonderful team lead.

I am truly srry for ur loss. I worked w Patty for a few yrs at WWL. Patty was my team leader. She was 1 of a kind. Patty was a very strong person. She most definitely didn’t let u slack. But she also would be around u and make u laugh.

I will always love you Patricia. Our last talk on phone was so beautiful. When you told me that you loved me, I absolutely believed you. I will never forget our last hug. You were a fighter. The strongest woman I ever met. You are just like your mom. You are pain free now. What I would do for one last hug from you & your mom. I am crushed. I will miss you so much. Our sisterly love was real. RIP my lifetime Sis. Tim, I am so so for your loss.

Saddened of the loss of Patti. Have had many memories as a camping family @ Wolfe's Leisuretime Campground!! She fought a tough battle but is at peace & pain free? Thoughts & prayers for the entire family ?❤️
