Patricia A. Smith, 87, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at IU Health Arnett Hospital.

She was born April 12, 1936, in Tab, IN, to the late Benjamin Franklin “Frank” and Lillie Mae (Estes) Nunn.

Patricia graduated from Ambia High School in 1954 and Lafayette Beauty Academy in 1973.

Patricia was a homemaker, mother and hairdresser.

She was a member of Tippecanoe, Benton and Carroll County Extension Homemakers and was past president of Boone County Extension Homemakers.

Patricia enjoyed sewing, gardening and travel.

Surviving is a son, David (wife Lydia) Smith of Indianapolis, a daughter, Denise Doherty of Lafayette, and a daughter, Jill (husband Jeff) Bartlett of Lafayette. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Ineke, Quinten Lance, Nick and Randy Smith, Dylan Doherty, Shawn, Kyle and Adam Clarke as well as fifteen great grandchildren, Sloane, Gideon, Oliver, Russell, Ruby, Christopher, Jeremiah, Koressa, Damion and Kemmy Smith, Ava and Eileen Doherty, Graheme, Laila and Logan Clarke.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Jacqueline Clarke and Bradly Smith, her husband Walter Smith Jr., two sisters, Josephine Hebbeler and Algine Clark and a brother, Fielden Nunn.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Attica.
