Olive M. Brenner, 96, of Lafayette, passed away at St. Anthony Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Lafayette, on July 12, 2023.
She was born on September 27, 1926, in Lafayette to the late Raymond R. Griffith and Mary Kathleen (Wardell) Griffith.
Olive attended Linnwood School and graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1943.
On March 12, 1949, she married Edward J. Brenner, Jr. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1981.
Olive enjoyed farming with her husband and later her eldest son, Ted. She worked at Purdue University for over 20 years, retiring in 1988 from the Government Grants and Contracts Office at Hovde Hall.
Olive was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and attended several Bible Study classes. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling and visited several states including Hawaii, twice, where her husband had been stationed after Pearl Harbor during WWII.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ted D. Brenner; her brother, David D. Griffith; and her sisters, Mary Raye Shonkwiler and Sarah Francis Killian; and a grandson, Jonathan E. Brenner.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Pamela L. (Kenneth) Mitchell of West Lafayette and Paula L. DeVault of Brookston; her son, Patrick J. Brenner of Battle Ground; and grandsons, David E. Mitchell of West Lafayette and Nicholas E. Brenner of Battle Ground.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Soller-Baker, West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Pkwy W, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 North, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
