Nancy Ann Brooker, 83, of Lafayette, formerly of Kentland, IN and Janesville, WI, died at 7:12 AM Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Elizabeth East. She was born March 7, 1930, in Janesville, WI, to the late Charles Hathorn and Lillie Kettleson Reents. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1948. On August 27, 1949 she married William E. Brooker in Janesville, WI at First Lutheran Church. After raising her family in Wisconsin, Nancy and Bill came to Indiana in 1972, her daughter and family soon followed. Nancy was a nursery school teacher for nearly 30 years in Wisconsin and Indiana, but first and foremost she was a devoted Mother , Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a caring and loving wife. Nancy was the love of William's life after 63 years of marriage he will always carry a part of her with him. Surviving along with her husband is a daughter Sandra Back (husband Larry) of West Lafayette; two grandsons Corey Back (wife Jenny), Chad Back (wife Michele); and three great grandsons – Monty, Miles and Connor Back. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of the service at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Reverend James Johnson to officiate.
