Mildred M. Flanagan, 90, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly at 12:12 pm on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 4, 1925, in Lafayette, to the late Paul and Gladys Batta Corbett. Mildred graduated from St. Francis High School in 1943 and on February 2, 1952 she married John J. Flanagan in Lafayette. He passed away in March of 1995. Mildred was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and sewing. She was an inspiration to her family and will be dearly missed. Surviving are three sons, Mike (Diane) Flanagan of Lafayette, Gary Flanagan and Steven (Lisa) Flanagan both of Indianapolis; two daughters, Janet (Robert) Rauch of Cleveland, TN and Barbara ( Bruce) Stafford of Lafayette; along with four sisters, Alice (Paul) LaRocca of Lafayette, Margaret (Kenneth) Ade of West Lafayette, Patricia Gagnon of Hamilton, OH and Reatha (Marvin) Meyer of Brooklyn, MI. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Flanagan and two sisters, Rosemary Wilson and Dorothea Corbett. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 612 Wabash Ave. Lafayette, IN 47905 with Fr. Dominic Young officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
