Mildred A. Clark

Mildred A. Clark, 91, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation in Crawfordsville.  She was born February 27, 1934, in Tippecanoe County, IN, to the late Ernest and Wilma (Storms) Nydegger.

Mildred graduated from Clarkshill High School.  On February 21, 1954, she married William Clark in Indianapolis, and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Mildred was a cook for Clarkshill Elementary School for 20 years.  She baked angel food cakes and made noodles for years, selling them at craft shows.  Mildred enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is her son Richard Clark of Lafayette, IN, daughter-in-law Kim Burton Clark, grandchildren Brad Clark, Kyle Clark, Ashley Clark, Brady Clark, Katelyn Merrill, great grandchildren Kylee, Connor, Payton, Zoey, Richie and Hayes Clark.  Also surviving is her sister Joanne Baumack of Terre Haute.  Mildred was preceded in death by her son Joseph Clark in 2022, granddaughter Rebecca Clark in 2001, sisters Betty Smelcer and Jean Rusk.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.  Interment will be at Concord Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.
