Michael P. Zoss

Michael Paul Zoss, 21, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at St. Elizabeth East.
He was born April 21, 1990, in Lafayette, and was the son of John W. and Donna L. Stehly Zoss of Lafayette. He graduated from Harrison High School in 2009 and attended Purdue University.
He was a member Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing guitar, reading history and playing video games .
Surviving with his parents are two brothers, Jacob Zoss of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Steven Zoss of Indianapolis.
Also surviving are his grandparents, Don and Leona Stehly of Mitchell, S.D.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jacob and Erma Zoss. He enjoyed his dog, Cocoa.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with funeral a Service at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Grace United Methodist Church, 615 N. 22nd St. Lafayette, IN 47904 with Rev. Lore Gibson officiating. Those wishing may contribute to the Purdue Foundation in memory of Michael Zoss for CAPS for Addiction Services at 403 W. Wood St West Lafayette, IN 47907 or Grace United Methodist Church.

I am so sorry I just found out Michael passed away. I&m sure everyday is very hard but trust in God and he will see you through. Prayers are going up for all of your family.

Zoss Family,

Sorry for the late note as we are just becoming aware of your loss. We are shocked and have a heavy heart ache for you. We are terribly sorry. We hope that the support from family and friends have helped console. Our son, Peter, is also the same age so I cannot imagine what you are going through.

I hope with some time and God&s comfort that the new ""normal"" will emerge and you can find peace.

I am thinking of you during this difficult time and I want you to know that. If I lived closer to West Lafayette, I would stop by and give you both a hug. Just know that you gave him a good life and did whatever you could for him. It will be difficult to go on, but do it for your other two wonderful kids.

Dear Donna, John, Jake and Steven,

We wish that we could be there with you during the visitation and services in memory of Michael. We have some sweet memories of Michael when he was a little boy, especially at Jane&s and Craig&s daughter&s wedding receiption as he and Steven had so much fun dancing! What a cutie!

Also, it was good to visit at Don&s and Leona&s home a couple of years ago when we crossed paths with the Stehly family and Keith and Suzy (when they were visiting from England). It was good to talk with Michael at that time.

Our hearts are deeply grieved for you are foremost in our minds at this time.
