Michael G. Leahy, 55, of Lafayette, died at Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born May 28, 1957, in Manhattan, N.Y. to Lawrence B. and Helen Anderson Leahy. Educated in Yonkers New York and went to the Sauder Trade School studying carpentry. Michael worked for the Lafayette Coca?Cola as a route driver for the past 17 years. Micheal enjoyed gardening, carpentry and history. He was a great husband, father and a wonderful provider who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are wife, Linda A. Cammisa-Leahy, of Lafayette; son, Michael A . Leahy, of West Lafayette; daughter, Alyssa M. Leahy, of Lafayette; mother, Helen Anderson Greve, of Lebanon; brother, James Leahy, of New York; sister, Dianna (husband: Paul) Leahy-Kreisler, of New York; and Nephew, John J. Leahy, of Connecticut.
A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday September 2, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Preceded in death by Father, Lawrence B. Leahy.

Mike was an old friend from Yonkers- we hung out many years ago and I still remember what a nice quiet guy he always was- regards to the family

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Michael. I grew up with Mike,Jimmy, and Diana on Ravine Ave, in Yonkers, and have some wonderful memories of Mike and his wonderful smile. He was always kind and generous with his feelings. Helen, I think he was a lot like you. I also remember how kind you also were to us kids when I was in your place on Ravine.
