Our daughter had the pleasure of having Mr. Wisma as her professor at Purdue this semester for an OLS Class. She graduated on May 14, 2011 and I wanted your family to know that he was her favorite professor of all of her four plus years at Purdue! She loved going to her Monday night OLS class this semester and always had a great story or tale about something she had learned in her OLS class with your husband/father/son. She just phoned us when she heard about this and was very upset and we want to pass along our prayers and thoughts for your family during this time, but please know that he held a special place in one Student&s heart! We also heard how generous he was bringing Bruno&s pizza their last night of class. There are few professors who inspire their students and Mr. Wisma was definitely one of those people. God Bless you!
Family of Lindsay Richardson, student in this semester&s OLS Monday night class, 2011 Purdue graduate
Along with the rest of the Terlicher family, we are so truly sorry for your loss. You have become a huge part of our family tradition of travelling to Purdue for many shows and finishing off the night at Bruno&s, and our deepest condolences are extended to you. We love you, and are keeping you all in our prayers.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers.
with love,
Lisa Wilkins
He was truly a man full of integrity, character, and humor. I was able to become close a friend to professor Wisma coming in as a junior at Saint Joseph&s College. Transferring in from an urban atmosphere, adjusting to the culture change in Renssealer was a big deal for me. But I am pleased to say that He had a ""huge"" role in my adapting to the environment for those next two years. He was excellent in the classroom, moreover, because he was the same in the class setting as he was outside of it. He was what I call ""authentic"" and that is something not common in these days.
I was one of the guys often keeping him late around campus due to our after class conversations.
During my senior year, we had already given one another nicknames. I often referred to him as ""Money Mike."" And had several names for me but he commonly referred to me as ""Smooth Willy.""
One thing I truly admired of him was that he was definitely a family man. I don&t remember one class over the two year span of having him that He did not mention you and the girls. He often talked about how spoil all of his girls were while often blaming it on himself. I can&t forget to mention how much he talked about Mo as well.
One thing I will never forget is what He said to me sometime before my graduation, he said that I reminded him of himself. This truly meant a lot to me! Observing his life style and all his success that had been accomplished, I was truly moved to be compared in such great stature. But now realizing that&s just the kind of guy he was.
Tina, I want to let you know personally that you and the girls will truly be in my prayers. May the Lord keep you in this time of sorrow and may He be with you in the midnight hours. Often experiencing these types of situations in my trade of work, there is undoubtably no one who can empathize your experience in this season of life. But God is the healer of broken hearts, and when people begin to fade and you feel like your all alone, He is ""always"" there.
""Money Mike"" will truly be missed and he will always have a place in my heart.
Please excuse my absence from the planned services, for right now I am abroad and am not able to return. However, you all have my deepest sympathy and prayers.
Please feel free to contact me whenever.

We are so sorry about the sudden loss of Mike. It is a terrible shock to the whole WL community and especially so for all of you. He was such a nice guy; I always enjoyed our conversations on the Tippco sidelines last year. We will keep him and you in our prayers. May God keep you close by His side through the love of your family and friends.

Dave, Hayley, Derek and I are so sorry for your loss. I only met Mike once, but Tina, I feel like I have known you for a very long time. I cannot even imagine what it must feel like to lose your husband, father, best friend. Only God knows why this happened; we as humans don&t have the ability to ""why?"", ""why now?"". I pray you can accept that Mike is with God now, and that even though you are hurting terribly, he is happy in the arms of God and will be well taken care of. God Bless you on your journey of recovery and acceptance. Our deepest condolences go out to you. Tina, I look forward to seeing you again and being able to give you a well deserved hug. I hope you have lots of support for all of you from family and close frineds. May God shine His Blessings on you all. peace & love, monica, dave, derek and hayley

He was a unique professor who enjoyed teaching, and the recent award he received from the students validates the appreciation the student&s felt for his teaching skills and his personable nature.
Lastly, his laughter was contagious, and his energy level would make me wish I could harness it! We will all definitely miss him.

It is with much sadness that I write to you. I have enjoyed working with your husband/father at Saint Joseph&s College. He always had a smile on his face and it was all of you who put it there. When ever I sat in on one of his classes, he would always manage to bring up a story about one of you. The students enjoyed his enthusiasm in the classroom. Mike will be missed.
My heart aches for the three of you and I just cannot express the sorrow I feel. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around each of you during this difficult time and provides you with the comfort and strength only He can give. Please let me know if there is anything at all I can do for you. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love you all,
Stacy
