Max K. Snyder, 69, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at IU Health Arnett Hospital. He was born November 7, 1953, in Lafayette to the late Samuel and Jean (Ritenour) Snyder.
Max graduated from Harrison High School in 1972 and received certification from Dale Carnegie. He worked for Kirby Risk for 47 years. On September 9, 2011, he married Kimberly L. Huff in Lafayette, and she survives.
He was a member of Harrison High School Chain Gang and ran field markers at home football games for 50 years. Max was a member of the Weakenders Bowling League and enjoyed woodworking, working with his hands building things, and was an avid Purdue Basketball fan.
Surviving along with his wife are his children and stepchildren, Phillip A. (Esmeralda) Snyder, April J. (Adam) Gilman, Chelsey N. (Rafael) Bustillos all of Lafayette, Aubrey S. (Ryan) Garriott of West Point, Lukas A. (Samantha) Huff of Fowler and Isaac J. Huff of Indianapolis, 18 grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers Wayne E. (Mary) Snyder and Harold L. (Yvonne) Snyder all of Lafayette. Max was preceded in death by his son Bryan K. Snyder.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Interment will be at Swank Cemetery in Tippecanoe County.
