Matthew Aaron Brewer, 59, of West Lafayette, passed away, surrounded by his family, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette on August 20, 2022. Matt was born August 20, 1963 to Loretta (Chafin) Brewer of West Lafayette and the late Albert “Al” Brewer.

Matt graduated from Harrison High School with the class of 1981. He was a former employee of Wabash Valley Hospital, (11 years), a certified EMT, worked at Venetian Blinds, Waste Management and Scape Art. He loved gardening, reading, fishing, being outdoors and playing handy man for his mom and her neighbor. He will be remembered for his big heart and his love for animals and scary movies.

Matt is survived by his mother, a brother, Monte Brewer (wife Kristine) of West Point and a sister-in-law, Teri Brewer of Fowler. Also surviving are nieces, Kayla (husband Dallas) Datzman, Krista (husband Craig) Jones and Maddie Brewer and nephews, Wesley and Sebastian Brewer.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Brewer.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
