Mary Louise (Francis) Mailloux, 83, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette surrounded by family.

She was born July 19, 1939, at St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend to the late Gayle L. and Alice C. (Lammers) Francis. In 1942, the family relocated to Lafayette where Mary attended St. Mary’s  Catholic Grade School , where she met her life-long best friend, Joanie Lods. She later graduated from St. Francis High School.  Mary married Paul Mailloux on November 10, 1972.

Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and worked in the Jewelry Department at L. S. Ayers.  She enjoyed her house, loved to read, and work in her flower beds.  Above all, she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Paul, she is survived by 3 children, David “Dave” (Brenda) Vanderipe, Richard “Rick” (Gigi) Vanderipe, and Michael “Mike” (Janna) Mailloux; a brother, Dan (Cheryl) Francis; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gayle and Alice Francis and a son, Stephen Vanderipe.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

A graveside service will follow at 1:30, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at St. Boniface Cemetery, 2581 Schuyler Ave., Lafayette, IN 47905.
