Mary H. Fritton, 73 of Lafayette passed away peacefully at 11:10 am on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family after a long journey through Alzheimer’s Disease.
Mary was born March 11, 1943 in Owensboro, KY to the late Hardwick “Doc” and Ida C. (Worthington) Wheeler.
Mary loved her family and friends, enjoyed dancing, fishing, traveling and a good natured prank. She had been employed in several retail positions over the years and enjoyed working with people.
She is survived by her husband Carl; children Debbie Bamforth (Ron), Jay Beeler (Valerie), Michael Fritton (Ann), and Mark Beeler (Kari); her sister, Betty Skinner; brothers, Clifton “Sonny” Wheeler (Gail) and Rodney Wheeler (Dana). Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and countless old friends.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel followed by funeral services at 11:00 am on Sunday, December 4, 2016 also at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel at 1184 Sagamore Parkway W. West Lafayette, IN with Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute in Mary’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
