On January 21, 1964, she married Boyce Terry in Moulton, AL and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2011. Mary Ann enjoyed playing lottery tickets, bingo and going to casinos. She enjoyed visiting with friends and never met a stranger. Mary Ann enjoyed being ornery and embarrassing family whenever she had the chance.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law Julie Terry, grandchildren Joshua B. (Jennifer) Terry all of Lafayette, IN, Jacob E. (Cassie) Terry of Chalmers, Kenny Jo Hart, Shayna Sulfridge, Mason and Josiah Hart and several great grandchildren including Carter and Cora Terry. Also surviving is her stepson Shayne (Trysh) Hart of Delphi. Mary was preceded in death by her son Roland D. Terry and grandson Jeremiah Terry.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Private burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Romney.

My heart was sad from the news of Mary Ann passing. She truly was an angel her on earth. I enjoyed seeing her smile when I would stop in just to say hey and check in. She enjoyed the fresh Vincennes produce I would hand deliver to her door every summer. I am going to miss her friendship..RIH my dear friend

Our deepest condolences go out to Mary’s family and friends. Every time we entered her home she had that memorable smile and a heart full of gratitude. It was a pleasure to get her property reassessed, getting her a credit back and selling her home. As 100% of the commission earned on her transaction was donated to the Lafayette Transitional Housing her legacy of caring for others lives on.
