John and Tom,

I am sorry I am not able to be at the services for your mother this afternoon. MY mother will represent our family. I know that your mother had a tremendous influence on some of my younger brothers and sisters when she taught at Locusr Grove. I remember her as smiling and cheerful and intelligent. I pray you both will find comfort in the services and the wishes of family and friends.

I am sorry to have lost contact and touch with you, John, and wish it were possible to visit while you are in Indiana. This message has my contact information, and I am on facebook.

Best wishes to you both as you return to your homes.

Marjorie Gamble Family left a message on March 25, 2011:
To the family of Martha Jo,
We are so disappointed that we as a family were not able to attend the memorial service for Martha Jo. Martha Jo was a neighbor when the Gamble kids were young. The kids being Bonnie, Connie, Tom, and Larry. Martha Jo and Francis moved after a few years across the river and we didn&t see much of her until she became the second grade teacher at Mintonye Elementary School where she was the second grade teacher for two of Bonnie&s children. She was a wonderful teacher and cared deeply about her students. Jason and Stephanie Horn still have memories of those days which they share on occasion. She was down to earth and had strong ideas about right and wrong. Over the years my mother, Marjorie Gamble, would see Martha Jo at various places and Martha Jo always had time for a visit and wanted to know how the rest of the family was. We as a family will be celebrating Marjorie&s 90th birthday on Saturday afternoon and will be unable to attend the memorial service. Know that Martha Jo has been in our hearts and minds over the years and her memory will live on in our family.

With deepest sympathy,
Bonnie Gamble Horn
oldest daughter of
Elmer Jr. & Marjorie Gamble
