Mark W. Richeson, 69, of Lafayette, passed away July 25, 2022, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette.

He was born June 9, 1953, in Lafayette to the late Gordon and Elynor (Erb) Richeson. He was a 1971 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School, a 1973 graduate of Concordia University in Ann Arbor Michigan, and attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.

He worked for McDonald’s Corporation for 26 years, starting as a crew person and working his way up to a Business Consultant. He retired in in 2000. He then worked for St. James Lutheran Church as a Business Manager, retiring in 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Stephanie (Schreckengast); son, Burke (Amanda); 5 grandkids, Wylie, Abel, Pipe, Elynor, and Monroe; his dogs, Gretel and Callie; 4 brothers, Todd (Jackie), Dirk (Sandy), both of Lafayette, Cole (Debbie) of Fort Wayne, and Kurt of Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and a nephew, Landon.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, August 1, 2022, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

Additional visitation will be at 10:00 am, followed by service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at St. James Lutheran Church, 800 Cincinnati Street, Lafayette, IN 47901.

There will be no graveside service at this time.
