Mark attended Twin Lakes High School and graduated from Arsenal Tech. He attended classes at IVY Tech. He worked in Production Control for SIA for twenty-three years.

Mark loved following the Chicago Cubs and the Indianapolis Colts, as he was an avid fan of both. He enjoyed his summer road trips to Wisconsin and Minnesota to visit family and traveling to North Carolina to visit friends. His love of music led to his attending concerts of all kinds.

Surviving along with his mother, Joy A. Tyvand of West Lafayette, is a daughter, Alicia Tyvand of Monticello, a brother, Sam Tyvand of Lafayette and two grandchildren, Jayden Erskin and Jacoby Greene.

A gathering for friends and family will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s honor to The American Cancer Society.

On behalf of the Dee Rasmussen Family (Sherri, Eric, Lisa, Leif) I'm sending our sincere sympathies for Mark's passing. For me personally I'm thankful that in the past few years I was able to get to know and spend time with Mark when he visited Madison. He was so vibrant, fun and friendly! Sending hugs and prayers for comfort.
