Marie L. Green Woodruff passed away Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth Lafayette East. Marie was born in rural Tippecanoe County on August 4th 1921 to James M. Green and Helen Lowe Green. She lived all her life in Tippecanoe County, attending school here too. On June 6th 1936, she married James (Jim) O. Woodruff. Together they raised her nephew, James (Jimmy) Green. She and Jim rebuilt a two room shack into the home she lived in for over 70 years. Marie and Jim were avid card players and bowlers for many years. Marie was a long-time member of the South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Marie is survived by numerous cousins, extended family members, and her friends from her congregation. Preceded in death by her parents James and Helen, husband Jim and nephew Jimmy, and a brother and sister. Services Saturday March 25th 2017 3:00pm with visitation starting at 2:00pm.
