ATTICA ? Margaret M. Hickman, 87, of Attica, formerly of Lafayette, died at 4:32 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Central.
Born Jan. 17, 1924, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Nona and Ethel Morrison.
On May 2, 1941, she married Robert Hickman in Lafayette. He died Sept. 24, 1997.
Mrs. Hickman was a cook at Purdue University and at restaurants in Lafayette. During World War II she worked in an aircraft factory in California.
She was a member of Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church, Eagles and Moose Lodge in Lafayette. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, cards and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Muston of Attica and Madonna Hamilton (husband: Roy) of Hinsdale, N.Y.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren and 5 great-great-step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Michael “”Mick”” Moore; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the 2 p.m. service Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Pastor Daniel Bloesch officiating. Burial will be at Farmers Institute Cemetery.
